The West Balcony is nearby to Sir Johns Bar, Campus Centre. The design proposes to compliment this use by providing a roof top bar like space. We have proposed a series small tables and benches to allow people to enjoy the view.
The structure, inspired by the contemporary greening of roof top bars, is an evocative and exciting way to reconnect the users to the external space. Lights are proposed to be fixed to the structure allowing use at night and responding to Safer by Design Principles.
