The Westfield Tea Tree Plaza Redevelopment (Landscape Design) was completed in three stages including the Entertainment and Lifestyle Precinct (ELP), The North-East Interface and the Car Park.

At the very heart of the redevelopment is the ELP which includes numerous new restaurants, alfresco dining areas, a play space and cinema. The gardens within the ELP have been designed to reflect the character of the Adelaide Hills and the Barossa, featuring a rich blend of exotic and native trees and plants. Visitors have the opportunity to escape the precinct’s urban surroundings as they unwind and enjoy the relaxing ambience amongst the tranquil garden setting. Landscape lighting also brings new life to the precinct at night, creating one of the most exciting and vibrant lifestyle destinations in Adelaide.

The North-East Interface has been designed to soften the edge between Westfield Tea Tree Plaza and North East Road and create a welcoming facade to visitors. The main feature of the landscape interface is the pedestrian boardwalk which leads visitors from the footpath directly to the ELP. Beneath the boardwalk is a rocky swale, which has been created not only to provide Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) initiatives but also to reflect the indigenous history of the site and the creek which formerly ran through the site. The landscape interface also features a rich mixture of native plant species and retains all existing eucalyptus trees, creating a pleasant and inviting shopping and lifestyle precinct.
